Brazilian Prog Metallers KHALLICE Sign With MAGNA CARTA RECORDS
May 18, 2006Brazilian progressive metal band KHALLICE have inked a deal with Magna Carta Records. The agreement includes the licensing rights to the band's debut CD, "The Journey", plus the international release of the group's two next albums.
Commented KHALLICE guitarist Marcelo Barbosa: "It was such big surprise when we were contracted by the Magna Carta. Since the first album release, while we thought about having an international recorder, the first name all of us kept in mind was [Magna Carta]. Being in the cast of a recorder which haves releases projects like LIQUID TENSION, KANSAS, SHADOW GALLERY and STEVE MORSE, among others, is, in our opinion, a confirmation of quality of our work and result from a large effort. Magna Carta is one of the most important international recorders when the subject is prog, and I believe that this especially moment should be actually decisive in band's history."
KHALLICE are said to be the first Latin American band to sign with Magna Carta.
